The 2025 Melbourne Science Fiction Film Festival will run February 21-23 at Cinema Nova in Carlton, the heart of the southern capital’s most diverse and vibrant artistic community.
Submissions are now open for the 2025 season, which begins with this satellite event in Melbourne before returning to its home base in Sydney in the second half of the year.
Films selected for the Melbourne season remain eligible for selection in Sydney and will be in the running for all relevant 2025 awards categories.
“The dedication that our Melbourne audience exhibits for the Cinema Nova season has been unwavering,” said Festival Director Simon Foster. “The patrons are adventurous and ambitious in the films they watch, and expect the same of the films we program. It is an absolute blessing to have Cinema Nova as our Victorian venue partner.”
