After a brief hiatus in 2024, the SFC Film Festival is back and ready to inspire!
Our festival celebrates humanity’s journey toward a brighter future, driven by science, art, and space exploration. We champion films that embrace a positive outlook on the future and tell stories of progress, unity, and hope, as we aspire to become a peaceful, ever-advancing Space Faring Civilisation.
To qualify for the festival, your film must explore at least one of the following themes:
1. Space Exploration
2. Building a Better Future
3. Science
Submit your work in one of two categories:
• Future Sci-Fi
• Documentary
This year, the SFC Film Festival will be held during National Science Week at the Dendy Cinema in Canberra, Australia.
Additionally, all filmmakers with selected films and our sponsors will be invited to a virtual award ceremony, live-streamed on our YouTube channel. This provides more opportunities to showcase your work to a global audience before the in-person screenings at Dendy Cinema.
