Backed by Netflix investment and supported by Screen Tasmania and AFTRS, Screenworks is proud to bring the highly successful Regional Crew Pathways Program to Tasmania in 2025. This program provides training, employment and career pathways in below the line roles in the screen industry for people living in Tasmania.
If you’re committed to a career in the film and television industry and looking for your first job this could be the opportunity for you. Your commitment may be demonstrated through a previous qualification, experience making your own content, or with transferable skills from another industry such as transport, logistics, photography, hair and make-up, building, administration.
Regional Crew Pathways Program is a two-step training program open to applicants from across Tasmania. In the first step, selected participants will undertake the AFTRS’ On-Set Onboarding course, held in Hobart, 26th – 28th February 2025. In the second step, course participants can then nominate to be considered for the six-month paid placement. The placements will predominantly be with production companies in Tasmania, but there may be some interstate opportunities as well.
