The Australian creative community is in for a shake up this summer with the opening of The International Screen Academy in Sydney arts hub, Waterloo. ‘ISA’ as it will be known, will empower its students for success in the fast changing 21st century film and TV industry.

With the first wave of auditions taking place in November – ISA offers its students a unique mix of education in both traditional acting methods and contemporary screen based media. Studies will include acting for TV, film, animation, voice over, gaming and hi-end effects, as well as core subjects focusing on essential life skills such as career and contract management.

Built by professionals, ISA’s teaching staff is made up of well-known working actors, industry experts and film practitioners. Their single objective will be to train and present to the world the best film and screen actors Australia has to offer.

“If you want to work with, and be connected to, top industry talent – master your acting skills in a dynamic, energised environment and graduate with a show reel to die for then ISA is for you,” said Tony Barclay, ISA’s Creative Director. “Graduates will be expert storytellers…they will have learned what it is to be a great film actor and have an intimate commercial understanding of the industry.”

Audition applications for ISA’s Advanced Diploma of Acting for Contemporary Screen Media are now open. Auditions will be held in the last 2 weeks of November. For full course details and applications for auditions – see www.isasydney.com.au.
