This intensive three day course is essential to anyone seeking a successful career in the creative industries.

How do you manage an irregular income stream? What are the legal and taxation obligations of your business? How do you develop a valuable and workable business plan? How should you structure your contracts and what should you look for prior to signing one? How does copyright law work in regards to your own work and that of others? How can you market and present your business in a memorable and unique way?

These questions and more will be answered by Monica Davidson and you’ll walk away with
new understanding and a defined path forward.

Avid for Final Cut Pro (Sat 3 Dec)

This one-day course is designed for intermediate to advanced Final Cut Pro Editors with at least one year’s experience using Final Cut Pro wanting to broaden their skillset to include Avid Media Composer. In this intense ‘bridging course’ Editors who are already familiar with Final Cut Pro can quickly learn Media Composer 5.5 expanding their knowledge base and flexibility.

The course is taught by David Forsyth, Australia’s most experienced Avid Certified Instructor. Topics will cover most of the operations an Editor will have to perform in any given day including: Creating projects, Settings, Working with bins, General editing, Trimming,  Audio mixing, Importing and Exporting, Effects, Titling and Basic Colour Correction.
