The Oscar shortlist for documentary features was announced today, including local feature This Way of Life. The fifteen strong list will be culled to five finalists ahead of the ceremony.
Over a hundred feature documentaries were qualified for Oscar consideration, with today’s announcement putting This Way of Life into the top 15% of entrants. The 15 nominees will now be voted on by Documentary Branch members of the Academy to select the five films which will become finalists.
