A stil from Icarus in Love, one of the last films funded by QPIX

QPIX, the Queensland Screen Network Centre supported by matched funding from Screen Australia and Screen Queensland, has closed its doors. This is a direct result of a Screen Queensland decision to stop funding its support for emerging filmmakers.

According to executive producer and CEO Kerry O’Rourke, the organisation is being wound up in an orderly manner, and is still solvent. But it has ceased trading, the doors are shut, and the remaining two staff are dismantling the organisation.
