Documentary Edge submissions closed on Friday. Around 600 films were submitted for the 2011 festival, a similar number to what was submitted for this year’s edition. 30 of those submissions were local films.
Doc Edge director Dan Shanan told ScreenHub they were happy with the number of entries received. Had it gone much higher, it would have made it difficult for them to watch all the submissions and make selections in a timely manner.
