Nine Melbourne community digital radio services are gearing up for a Day of Action to fight the lack of funding that may leave some much-loved stations with no option other than to shut down.
On 13 March the broadcasters will aim to draw attention to the $1.4 million shortfall in the Federal Government’s budget allocation for digital radio services. Unless this lack of funds is addressed in the upcoming May budget, the broadcasters believe that they may be facing the worst.
