There’s a nice little animators’ blog spot and animation podcast site called Channel Frederator, and they’ve been voting to honor user submitted and user generated video on the Internet. These are the winners, and a link to the site. They seem to take themselves a touch too seriously, but there are some nice films on the site.
Winners were selected in 11 categories judged by Channel Frederator viewers and five categories judged by jury. More than 1,000 animated films were submitted from around the world. John Lasseter, CEO of Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, was honored as Cartoonist of the Year. Apple was presented with the Instigator Award for the important role it has played in the proliferation of podcasting.
