The big screen fun at the moment is partly coming from Palace, which is running its German Film Festival from now until June 12 around Australia. The hive mind got buzzy about no less than two films about Bertolt Brecht. A contemporary drama called Mac The Knife – Brecht’s Threepenny Film cleverly follows the story of the cigar chomping hero of over-excited alienation after he became hugely successful in the dying days of the Weimar Republic.
