Wide Angle: raised from the Tasmanian dead

In the gloom around the strangled Screen Resource Organisations, one story brings hope.

Wide Angle Tasmania was due to close in June, but has filled the urn, bought some new chairs and will now stay defiantly open. A group of anonymous donors has given it a lifeline. 

According to Sharon Connolly, a former CEO of Film Australia, former Board member of Screen Tasmania and founding Board member of Wide Angle who served for ten years, ‘Some of this is luck and some of it is a reward for work well done.
