Who better to cover the screening of ‘Wake in Fright’ in the town where it was originally made, than ScreenHub’s foreign correspondent, Annie Ohanlon?

I have come to Broken Hill for the first regional screening of the newly restored Wake in Fright. Driving in from the south, from 30 kilometres away a range appears on the horizon, a dark ridge breaking into the blue sky. As you get closer to the town, the giant heaps of earth tower over the road.
