Four years ago, Jeff Gomez came to Australia as an apostle of transmedia, whose gods lived in storyworlds embodying the rules behind the giant franchises of American screen culture. He was telling producers how to spread that universe across media, to build coherent brands with great stickiness. His company, Starlight Runner Entertainment, had worked with Coca-Cola and Mattel, Hasbro, Viacom and Disney. He has also drawn and edited comics, and wrote and co-produced the Turok series of video games.
