As part of New Zealand’s Big Screen Symposium, the departing head of ABC Children’s, Tim Brooke-Hunt, encapsulated recent research into the Australian children’s audience to present the proverbial picture of change. [We think he has abandoned his plan to dominate the market in pop-up books.

Brooke-Hunt presented research by Screen Australia and the Australian Children’s TV Foundation (ACTF), commissioned due to concern about a dip in the amount of local drama production.
