We feared the worst for The Railway Man in the crowded, churning Australian Xmas market. But it is alive and kicking and came honourably through the smoke of battle.

26th December was release date for The Railway Man, brutally shared with the key summer US releases. The Hobbit…, Frozen, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty were potent threats. Even Philomena and August: Osage County were there to catch the arthouse market.
