NZ Actors’ Equity has gone public with a campaign which confronts Sir Peter Jackson, may be legally impossible, could threaten the NZ industry on the world stage, and is deeply involved with the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance in Australia.

NZ Actors’ Equity is calling a meeting of actors on Tuesday as part of a campaign to bring The Hobbit producers to the negotiating table. Equity wants a contract guaranteeing minimum terms and conditions to actors engaged on the production.
