Lots of technologies claim to be the way of the future. But with the proliferation of tablets and smart phones, you can be sure apps will be one of them. ScreenHub’s Andrew Einspruch managed to record some fascinating numbers during the presentation, many connected to budgets.

There are a lot of reasons pay attention to the world of apps. For one, the app economy is worth billions of dollars. But more importantly for content creators, research shows people now spend more time using apps than they do on the web. That is a huge change in a very short time period. So it made sense for SPAA 2012 to offer a session called Private Screening: The Brass Tacks on Apps, led by Jennifer Wilson, Director of The Project Factory.
