The SPAA Independent Producer Awards were strongly bittersweet this year. As the gathered producers celebrated the successes of the past 12 months, the evening’s festivities were dominated by numerous loving tributes to retiring SPAA Executive Director Geoff Brown.
Anecdote followed praise followed statement of appreciation, as Brown’s tenacity, kindness and diplomacy were cited as the key reasons his 10 years as executive director and five years prior to that as Commercial Affairs Manager have been such a success.
