Behind the innocuous announcement that the South Australian Film Corporation is encouraging local producers to sign up for its co-production register lies a heap of politics and industry change.

The co-production register, as its name implies, has been set up to enable South Australian producers to genuinely participate with interstate productions on an ownership level.
