Screen Queensland: local programs on a national stage

With contracts signed, Screen Queensland can settle into watching and waiting as its emerging practitioner solution gets under way

It is not possible to  look at the new emerging filmmaker programs at Screen Queensland as simply a group of good ideas, because they emerged out of the ashes of QPIX, the screen resource organisation. It was deliberately defunded by the previous management at Screen Queensland, and Screen Australia is proposing to do the same with the entire national group of grass roots support organisations.

Mark Overett was on the Board of QPIX, and involved in the compendium feature project which collapsed with the organisation.
