The chairman of Screen Queensland, Geoff Cooper, has stood aside from his role for six months, but remains on the board.

He told ScreenHub that he had decided to step aside as Chairman because of his commitments to a number of productions with the ABC Children’s television, and a desire to avoid any perceived conflict on interest.

“The ABC gig came after I accepted the role as Chair,” he said, “and I’m working with quite a few projects that potentially involve Queensland.”
