Screen Forever, the 2013 edition of the rebadged SPAA Conference, organised by SPA, or Screen Producers Australia, formerly SPAA, the Screen Producers Association of Australia, has become its own format. So Mark Poole’s report on the session about buying and selling formats for both factual and drama programs is pretty apt.

One of the exciting elements of this session was its international focus. blank”>Avi Armosa is based in Israel, but he works with the US and Europe on a regular basis, and all the speakers talked about doing business around the world.
So what is a format? Well, as Avi Armosa of Armoza Formats put it, it’s a format if someone is prepared to pay for it.
