Perhaps the most startling name in terms of sheer professional success is Bruna Papandrea, who produced Gone Girl, the psychological thriller directed by David Fincher which is said to have cost US$61m and took a mere US$370m and Wild, which has made US$52.5m so far off an alleged budget of US$15m. Her latest, Hot Pursuit, is an action comedy starring co-producer Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vagara, directed by Anne Fletcher and written by David Feeney and John Quaintance. It looks like a higher budget film – cars! stunts! highways! huge crew! – and it is released on May 8.
