The May 2015 round of Screen Australia production funding is full of the way in which our national screen sector is becoming part of a cosmopolitan world. We have very local stories like a Tim Winton novel reaching for international audiences, Australians coming home and a film from an Indian-Australian production company. Nearly every project is derived from genres rooted in no place but the universe of story, but with that underlying twist that speaks of our collective identity.
