$2.3m out the door, ten documentaries financed, interesting emphasis on contract directors.

Two series and eight one-off documentaries, says the announcement. That boils down to six hours in the two series, two television half hours, and six single television hours – a much better balance than we have seen in the recent past.

NITV has appeared on the list on its own behalf, unemcumbered by other broadcasters, including SBS. Veronica Sive and Liz Courtney are producing ecological documentary The Tipping Points: Oceans the Last Frontier, which Liz is also writing and directing. This is a single doc, which holds a huge topic to size by studying the islands of Oceania.
