Robyn Butler on the set of Upper Middle Bogan
The concept for Upper Middle Bogan began developing when Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope from Gristmill were approached by the ABC. They were looking for a family comedy. Robyn and Wayne had previously made two comedies for the ABC, The Librarians and Very Small Business. The ABC was “looking for a particular style of show that they hadn’t done before,” Robyn said.
