The fest seminars took emerging filmmakers through the ugly questions of a medium which is based on raising production money. How can I fund the first few self-funded films? Is Screen Australia focused on emerging emerging filmmakers? What is the role of Pozible? How can we make feature financing simpler? Sadly, no.

The description for Revelation: Perth International Film Festival reads like a mission statement: “For Revelation, films are a backdrop to a wider conversation.” Attending three jam-packed days from the ten-day festival, I found Rev’s statement to be both true and inspiring.
