Seven owned the Melbourne Cup, which produced a bizarre set of figures. Even its news was up 190,000. Everyone wants to see a nag in full flight, except customers of the government broadcasters, whose share was pretty stable.

With everyone exhausted on the couch anything looking like exercise did not do well. Dancing with the Stars was down 31,000.

In the punting spirit, both Hot Seat and Million $ Minute were up, though Nine still beats Seven handily. Citizens still had the strength to change channels.
