The fact that Seven only just scored the big three oh gave everyone else the chance to be half-way respectable.

It seems as if the highest rating ANZAC related program was the first part of Desert War from Electric Pictures, at 622,000 for the ABC. Auntie took the next level too, as 528,000 tuned in to the Governor-General’s message.

The figures from Sydney and Melbourne for Desert War follow the population figures, with a significant bump from Perth, where it was produced and partly shot.
