With Ten and SBS exactly repeating last week’s share figures, the lost 5.4% from Seven went neatly to the ABC and Nine, which gained 4.9% to take the night.

Last week Seven took 804,000 for two hours of the creepy Beauty and the Geek, but that fell very flat this time round. The hour ep of lost 32,000, How I Met Your Mother at 8.00 lost 80,000, returning it to normal levels, and the Geeks delivered 638,000. Losing 160,000 at that time of night is pretty dire and Words would have been used.
