See the NRL give Nine 2.179m for the game, which does not include the regional and rural figures. How did the NRL numbers compare with the AFL? 2,717,000, or 550,000 more than the NRL and it was not broadcast in Sydney and Brisbane. The AFL supporters still have bragging rights for sheer, hypnotised fanaticism.
