Now the competition gets serious, complete with Seven’s grenade in the works with the axing of Today Tonight.
The competition now starts for Nine with Afternoon News at 4.15, through to 5.30 with The Hot Seat, the quiz show which beat Seven last year pretty consistently. The news runs from 6-7pm. followed by A Current Affair, giving punters a clear ninety minutes of news. This is followed at 7.30 by The Block, which sets that slot as the evening reality teev offering against Seven.
