Cate Blanchett, she of the inner grace, is up against Sandra Bullock, who spends most of Gravity in a space suit.

Besides the wondrous Cate, the only other Australian nominations come for The Great Gatsby, in which Catherine Martin is nominated for costume design, while she and Beverley Dunn are in the running for best set design. Nothing for sound, edit, or production design.
