Open Channel, the Melbourne Screen Resource Centre, officially opened its new premises on the Docklands Studio site, with a federal politician on Day 3 of his campaign.

The federal Minister for Employment, Skills and Training, Brendan O’Connor officially declared the new Screen Industry Skills Centre open, and described it as “a feather in the cap for Melbourne as a cultural and arts centre” before referring to actors rather than technicians.
