NZFC: changing role, building VOD, provoking Australian thought

Films On Demand is “an online streaming service that will give New Zealand audiences greater access to New Zealand films wherever and whenever they want to watch them,” said the announcement.

Basically, the NZFC is using technology developed by a Hamilton company, Indiereign, to enable audiences to pay to stream films made in New Zealand. Graeme Mason was involved in this before he left the NZFC, so similar ideas are being considered at his new territory of Screen Australia.
