Minnie Loves Junior is a sweet little short which got into Berlin. For the grown-ups, the story of the producers is much more fun.

A conversation with Matt Mullins on the phone reveals that the film’s gang consists of four people – Matt and his brother Andy, Tom Birch and Doug Maskiell; the brothers are the writing/directing team while the others are producers.

The actual money bit mostly consisted of scouring the spreadsheets to work out how to find the cash from their mutual enterprise, SandHill Road. As Matt said, “There are four of us boys working across hospitality and film in one office in Richmond. We are best friends who became business partners and stayed best friends along the way. It is no coincidence we stayed best friends because we work in an industry which is a lot of fun. Now we are in a second industry, which is even more fun.”
