Matthew Holmes believes that his crowdfunding success was the result of a little bit of luck, but he also did a lot of research prior to starting the campaign. He read up on which platform to use and why, then studied a lot of film campaigns which were running or had finished. He tried to work out what made them succeed and what made them fail.
When it came to starting his own campaign, he went in very well prepared and researched, although he admitted that he would have done more but didn’t have time.
