The film industry in the Northern Territory is pretty well symbolised by the Darwin International Film Festival and the spectacle of a unique culture in action.

There are not many ‘international’ film festivals in an outdoor cinema, as patrons eat curry and wait for the sun to set across the bay.  Visitors can trip over a pram and a sleeping kid, and if they get bored the swooping bats and snarling possums are entertaining too.
