This year’s Logie Award winning programs showed the presence and power of the independent production sector in Australia, with independent wins out-numbering the network in-house productions.
Cavalier Television picked up the award for reality with The Block, Southern Star took multiple awards for Offspring and Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War and Puberty Blues (it was a good night for John Edwards), while Playmaker Media got a gong for House Husbands, and Shine Australia was in with The Voice.
