The Melbourne International Arts Festival has scored an exclusive cinematic coup by bringing zany American comedy director John Landis to ACMI and the iconic Astor Theatre. The moment may bend his brain.

John Landis, now 63, started his career as director and producer with The Kentucky Fried Movie, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, An American Werewolf in London and Trading Places. Together they made $US500m at the box office.
