Jeffrey Katzenberg didn’t initially have burning desire to be a part of the film industry. As a teenager, he volunteered to work on John Lindsay’s New York mayoral campaign in 1965 and 1966, then joined his administration as a gofer. He was the youngest employee ever on their payroll, and as he got older, his responsibilities grew. He described how every day was like a college education, and his interest in politics has remained a constant in his life.
