Hoodies set up a joint venture with companies in the UK and US. Surely there is more to this than meets the eye.

Last Monday, Hoodlum announced “a global partnership with Sundog Pictures (UK) and Tim Kring’s Imperative Enterprises (US) launching a brand engagement division which will deliver new ways of bringing compelling brand stories to life.”

This has all the hallmarks of the Hoodlum approach to the world – the company has had a game plan for expansion from its first faltering steps into transmedia in Brisbane. “We have always said we want to be international,” said co-owner Tracey Robertson on the phone. “We’ve always seen the business as a global business. I think you have to be now. You can’t just think locally – to open up new opportunities you have to think beyond that.”
