Alex Garland’s Ex Machina is a low(ish) budget indy SF film which looks a lot schmicker than the US$15m would suggest.

Fury Road continues to charge across the desert, to reach $19.2m last weekend. After dropping 73 screens to 318 it is still making $5,200/screen, which is pretty fine. With US$131m and US$184m around the world, the total is US$315m, remembering that the foreign results always lag. In US$, it is recording $7m in the UK, $6,5m in South Korea, and $5.6m in Russia.
