Harold Mitchell, favourite go-to advertising pundit and futurologist, has erupted from ‘retirement’ to chair the somewhat dialectical FreeTV.

Harold Mitchell created Mitchell and Partners in 1976, turned it into Australia’s largest media buying company, sold it to Aegis Media Pacific in 2010, stayed on as executive chairman, and retired on August 10th, at the age of 71, after 54 years in the business. On the way he became a serial member of public-spirited boards, a philanthropist and a wonderful source of quotes.
