The Australian International Documentary Conference has announced a $50,000 prize to support an unfinished non-fiction screen work at the pitching forum.
The Saturday Paper will provide a $40,000 film advertising opportunity, but the $10,000 cash component comes from a Brunswick coffee roasting company called Wide Open Road. Therein lies a lovely tale of a filmmaker who is successfully balancing his passion for film with an income, his family and a certain zestful love of variety.
