Festival Update – more Toronto, plus an Oscar feature hopeful

Two more films at Toronto rewrite the statistics while Australia gets a Foreign Language Oscar contender.

The really moving announcement in Australian exhibition news is a sidebar. Tanna, the feature set on a Pacific Island in a local language has been nominated as the Australian entry in the Foreign Language Oscar competition. It was written by John Collee, Bentley Dean, the people of Yakel, and Martin Butler, directed by  Bentley Dean, and Martin Butler, and produced by Bentley Dean, Martin Butler, and Carolyn Johnson.
