Election 2016 – some hope, but not enough

Australians watch an average of 97 hours of television a month. At any one time in that period, about a quarter of the population, in very broad averages, is watching the ABC or SBS.

47% of the population went to the movies in the last three months – a leisure activity beaten only by gardening. 43% did formal exercise, 32% played computer games at home, 24% played sport and all of 11% went to a professional sporting fixture.
