Paul Kelly – Stories of Me, from Ian Darling and Shark Island Productions, is a wonderful example of synthesis, in which film, music, the visual arts, the National Portrait Gallery and changes in educational curricula all combine to find the right audience for an integrated cultural experience.
What is more, this innovative production methodology says a lot about the future direction of art forms as digital distribution allows them to outflank the traditional gatekeepers.
