Don Connelly has died at the age of 84. A sound recordist, he was a true link to the hard days before the cinema renaissance of the 70s as he recorded Jedda for Charles Chauvel in 1955.

Don Connelly has died at the age of 84. A sound recordist, he was a true link to the hard days before the cinema renaissance of the 70s as he recorded Jedda for Charles Chauvel in 1955.

The Australian Screen Sound Guild has been spreading the news, including the fact that his funeral will be held on Monday 20th May, 2013 at 11.00am in the Magnolia Chapel at the Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium on the Corner of Delhi & Plassey Roads, North Ryde.
